THE LETTERS OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE POLISH UNITY OF THE BRETHREN

Matous Konecny was in correspondence with a lot of representatives of the Polish branch of the Unity of the Brethren, as evidenced by, inter alia, seventeen well-preserved letters from Martin Gertich, the first senior of the Unity of the Brethren there. The Polish Brethren church was founded in the second half of the 16th century, when hundreds of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Bohemia left the country because of religious persecution and headed for Silesia and Poland.
